Director Samuel Fuller a man of many faces
After fighting in Europe during World War II, he directed some minor action productions for which he mostly wrote the scripts himself and which he also produced, such as The Baron of Arizona (1950). One of his greatest films, Pickup on South Street (1953), helped Fuller gain independence from production companies and allowed him to make more non-conventional films like The Naked Kiss (1964) and White Dog (1982). https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002087/bio
